There's nothing like a good game featuring your favorite superheroes and this could be that title. The first in an episodic series for iOS and Android, Marvel's Avengers Initiative kicks off tomorrow with Infinity Blade-style hack and slash action. The first episode focuses on everyone's favorite mean, green smashing machine – The Hulk.
Unlike other episodic games like Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Telltale's The Walking Dead, Marvel is trying something a little different with the payment scheme. Rather than paying a few bucks for each individual episode, Avengers Initiative asks for $6 right out of the gate. After that, new episodes will come in the form of a free update.
After watching the trailer, which can be seen below, it looks like the first group of heroes we'll be seeing in the game will be Iron Man, Captain America and the God of Thunder himself, Thor. As of right now there's no info on when we can expect the next episodes to pop up, but I'm sure the Hulk with leave us with plenty to do for now.
So, what's the story behind this game? Well, it's pretty simple – all of the baddies the Avengers have faced over the years have somehow been set free to reign destruction down on us lowly humans and it's going to take Earth's Mightiest Heroes to make things right.
